Dance Artist | Teacher | Choreographer

BIOGRAPHY
Hannah Connor is a Midlands-based performer, teacher and choreographer. Born in Leicester, Hannah trained and competed Nationally in various dance techniques from the age of 4 at Dupont Dance Stage School. After graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with a First Class BA Hons in Contemporary Dance she became an Apprentice Dancer with Phoenix Dance Theatre. During this time she had the opportunity to perform and tour their latest work 'Black Waters'. Other highlights in her career so far include becoming a Jazz World Champion in 2016 and appearing on BBC Young Dancer 2019 as a Contemporary category Finalist which premiered on BBC 4.

Hannah is a lecturer at De Montfort University delivering 'Ballet for Contemporary Dancers' on their degree course. She is also part of the teaching faculty for Dupont Dance Stage School and Mayhew School of Dance teaching ISTD Modern and Tap syllabi. Her Freelance work includes leading dance workshops and regular classes around the UK for various schools, academies and youth programs. Inspiring and nurturing the younger generation is a huge passion of Hannah's and she is constantly seeking new opportunities to continue this.

In 2020, Hannah gained her Master of Arts Degree with a Distinction through the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. With an evolving interest in researching Mindfulness in Dance Hannah continues to develop her creative practice and is in the process of working towards her Ph.D. She recently published an article as part of The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Seasonal magazine and her latest Choreographic work 'Landscape No.8', performed and choreographed alongside dance artist Nadine Muncey, premiered this Spring at Resolution Festival 2022 at the Place London.
